Trek New Madone Gen 8 Gets Lighter and Wider

Trek just unveiled the Madone Gen 8 at a surprise press event in Wisconsin. The bike sheds 200 grams from the previous generation while maintaining the same aero performance.

Key changes include a redesigned cockpit and integrated storage. The frame now accepts up to 32mm tires, a first for the aero road bike.

Pricing starts at $12,499 for the SLR 7 AXS build. Pro team edition with SRAM Red tops out at $15,999.

Ships globally starting February 2025.
